On their very first date, he had worn a red shirt, and she had on a blue blouse. It didn't mean anything then. He clutched the remotely tightly in one hand, and his can of beer in the other; he had been waiting for tonight with mixed feelings, and it was finally here. Kemi had busied herself all the while in the kitchen,anything to avoid having to exchange words with him. The best he had to offer these days were one word answers, and anything more always led to a fight. It had been so for a while now, and the tension had been building up to this very evening. Now she was set adjacent to his seat, giving occasional glances to try and read his countenance. She wondered what was going through his mind, but wouldn't dare to ask. It was no time to ask questions; talk time was over. She had on her proud blue and white 'billionaires club' jersey. She was ready for the showdown. For a long time they had been the picture of a perfect couple. It had been a match made in heaven. They understood each other quite well, and knew how to make compromises for one another in everything. Everything except for the one passion that they both shared...football.
